National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium – Popular Science Forum: Bridging Science and Inspiring Dreams
The National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium (NMMBA) will host its first Popular Science Forum from September 22 to 24, 2016, under the theme “Bridging Science and Inspiring Dreams.” The event aims to provide a platform for institutions and professionals engaged in science communication to share achievements, exchange ideas, and inspire innovation.
The forum highlights three key features:
1. Roundtable Forum – “Opening the Doors to Science Communication”: Experts from educational institutions and the science industry will discuss the challenges and needs faced by museums, media, and the public in pursuing sustainable development, culminating in the “New Century Declaration for Science Communication.”
2. Symposium on “Mysteries of the Ocean (Omics)”: This session encourages young students to bridge research and science communication through creativity, showcasing the potential of a new generation of science communicators.
3. Expert Talks and Discussions: Distinguished scholars and practitioners will share their experiences in balancing scientific research with public engagement, exploring how to achieve smart and sustainable development in science communication.
