The 2025 Top 10 Marine News Poll Has Officially Launched
To raise public awareness of marine issues, the Taiwanese Coral Reef Society, in collaboration with the Public Television Service (PTS) News Department, has compiled key marine-related news from 2025 and launched the 2025 Top 10 Marine News Poll. The public is invited to participate in selecting the most representative and impactful marine news stories of the year.
Coral reef research often faces challenges of high labor and equipment costs, as well as limited funding. Improving access to technology and innovation is key to unlocking research potential and enhancing resource efficiency. With growing interest from both government and private sectors in coral reef conservation and restoration, cross-disciplinary and cross-sectoral collaboration offers significant opportunities to integrate expertise and resources, driving innovation and practical application in coral reef research and intervention techniques.

ABOUT
The Taiwanese Coral Reef Society was established in 1996, as a non-profit organization composed of scholars, diving enthusiasts, and institutions who are passionate about the ocean and coral reef ecosystems.
Our mission is to preserve the ecological balance of coral reefs and promote academic research activities. Grounded in science, we conduct surveys and studies to assess the health of Taiwan’s coral reef ecosystems and advocate for marine wildlife. We submit our findings to government agencies as references for management, or transform them into popular science content to share with the public.
