Session Description
Coral reef research often faces challenges of high labor and equipment costs, as well as limited funding. Improving access to technology and innovation is key to unlocking research potential and enhancing resource efficiency. With growing interest from both government and private sectors in coral reef conservation and restoration, cross-disciplinary and cross-sectoral collaboration offers significant opportunities to integrate expertise and resources, driving innovation and practical application in coral reef research and intervention techniques.
Session Objectives

Global Experience Sharing: Share experiences from around the world on the application of innovative technologies in coral resilience and conservation science, including reef monitoring, data collection, coral aquaculture, and intervention methods.

Best Practices Identification: Explore how cross-sectoral collaboration can promote scientific innovation in coral reef research.

Gaps and Opportunities: Identify current gaps and development opportunities in coral reef science under emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence.
